The Well on the Square was located on the northern part of Place Anne Laprévote. At the end of the 19th century, the well curbs were removed because they were too dangerous for children. The village wells were sealed and pumps were installed.
Place Anne Laprévote is surrounded by beautiful buildings. To the north stands a large winemaker's house with a park. This bourgeois house dates from the 18th century. The last owner, Mr. Pehu, died on June 1, 1961. The building escaped demolition, and on May 15, 1968, the municipality purchased it and converted it into the Hotel of Societies.
It has very beautiful vaulted cellars. Note the ornate lintel above the entrance.
